There was tile all on the floor and up the walls, which sometimes makes me think I’m sitting in a bathroom, but it smelled much better than that, believe me.
The coffee unfortunately was almost Campsie quality, but it was just opaque enough to fail that test. (Failing the test is a good thing.) The hashbrowns came shredded, which is hit or miss with us. Often they are produced from a bag in the frozen and forgotten on the grill until they have no moisture, but these were good. Not spectacular, but good. The bacon was good though, with nice thick cuts. Toast was the usual choice rye/brown/white. They only had Tabasco to flavour up the hashbrowns, but they had a nice selection of peanut butter, honey and jam. I liked the slice of orange; it’s a good dessert to cut the grease.
The omelettes were scromlets (no finesse), but were jammed with veggies and came with enormous salad. This is more food than one person should eat in a sitting, so don’t mess around. Come to George’s when you’re hungry. The food was good and thick, and will make you so, as well.
