The coffee was meh, and as I said, the food wasn’t as greasy as I expected. I remember the Junior’s breakfast we got that almost soaked through the disposable plate.

Thankfully that was not the case at Daly Burger. Not only were there real plates and cutlery, but the slurge factor was minimal. Surprising, given that the hashbrowns were just French fries that were grilled instead of deep fried. We’ve observed this before in lesser restaurants, and while they weren’t bad at Daly Burger, we were sort of disappointed they didn’t have real hashbrowns. The pancakes Leif got were stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth thick, and pretty good.

Daly Burger is a clean, inoffensive burger joint. Their breakfast will do, but if you’re looking for something exciting, keep going into the village and stop at Fresh Café or go further, to the Falafel Place.

For a greasy burger joint, Daly burger’s breakfast was not too greasy. The atmosphere was a mix of pleasant, old diner and annoying media - the TV was blaring the sports channel and elevator music played fruitlessly in the background. There was an attempt to be kitschy with the old Norman Rockwell-esque Coke ads on the walls. It seemed tacked on.

There’s basically no service, and you have to get everything yourself – coffee (north-end coffee service in Corydon Village!), cutlery, napkins, condiments. It must be noted that they have NO hot sauce. That’s rare.
